Configurable base class for writing internet servers in Perl

NetServer is an extensible, generic Perl server engine. NetServer combines the good properties from NetDaemon 0.34, NetServerGeneric 1.03, and NetFTPServer 1.0, and also from various concepts in the Apache Webserver. NetServer attempts to be a generic server as in NetDaemon and NetServerGeneric. It includes with it the ability to run as an inetd process NetServerINET, a single connection server NetServer or NetServerSingle, a forking server NetServerFork, or as a preforking server NetServerPreFork. In all but the inetd type, the server provides the ability to connect to one or to multiple server ports.
